An American woman went viral online after revealing how her family reacted to news of her planned move to Nigeria.
She had informed them about her unexpected decision to relocate to the country in order to be with her partner.

The clip was posted via her official TikTok account @kate, where she explained that she had informed her family of her intention to move with her children within six months.
She stated that the announcement had not been received well by her family.
According to her, several relatives voiced their objection, and their mood became really dampened.
She noted that her children, mother, aunt and sisters all expressed disapproval, and that her children had made it clear they did not want to go.
She captured the moment she broke the news to all of them and how they reacted in disapproval.
Speaking about the incident, she stated that their response left her with the impression that they were unhappy about the proposed relocation.
In her words:
“Telling my family me and the kids are moving to Nigeria. We’re moving in six months. I don’t think they are happy.”
