Former Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, has opened up on what became of her ‘bread outfit’ after causing a stir on the red carpet of the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in Lagos.
Like actress Osas Ighodaro, Atang was one of the celebrities who made waves on social media over their outfits to the star-studded event.
The former reality star, who attended the ceremony in a themed outfit designed to represent bread, explained her look on Instagram, linking it to her entrepreneurial journey in the food business.
“AMVCA 2026 ready. I come as an entrepreneur who runs a bread EMPIRE,” she wrote, adding the handle of her bakery business, @switcakes_desserts.
Queen Atang shares what happened to her bread outfit
In a social media post on Sunday, May 10, 2026, Queen claimed every interviewer who spoke to her at the AMVCA ate from her bread as she disclosed she attended the event with cooked beans, known as ‘ewa agoyin’ in local parlance.
“Do you know that every interviewer who interviewed me got a taste of my bread? Do you know I even carried ewa agoyin with me to the red carpet?” she wrote in a caption of a video showing an interviewer eating her bread.

Queen Atang confirms marriage crash
Legit.ng previously reported that reality star Queen Mercy Atang gave an update about her marriage to King David Oyekanni.
In a recent post while lashing out at an ex-lover, she confirmed that she is no longer married to King David.
According to her, once she is involved with someone and the relationship ends, it is all over. She added that she does not return to past relationships. However, she did not give details about what happened in her marriage, which lasted less than two years before ending.
