According to New Zealand’s immigration authority, applicants must satisfy each condition before an application will be considered.
5 Conditions Applicants Must Meet
1. To qualify, an applicant must have a partner who holds a New Zealand student visa and is able to support the application.
2. The couple must also be living together in what the authorities describe as a genuine and stable relationship, meaning casual or short-term arrangements are unlikely to meet the threshold.
3. Financial readiness is the third condition. Applicants are required to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover their own living expenses during their stay, or that they have an acceptable sponsor who can provide that support on their behalf.
4. The fourth requirement is that the applicant must have clear plans to leave New Zealand before or at the end of their permitted stay.
5. Finally, applicants must meet all other general requirements of the visa category, which may include health and character checks.
What the Visa Allows and Restricts
