Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has opened up about a difficult health battle that nearly took a toll on her life, revealing how MC Oluomo and her colleagues came through for her.
The actress spoke during an interview on African A List about the ordeal, particularly the huge financial burden of staying on medication while battling the illness.

‘MC Oluomo kept me alive’
Reflecting on the period, Ronke expressed gratitude to God and the people who refused to abandon her when she needed help.
She specifically mentioned MC Oluomo and her colleagues, crediting their support for helping her pull through the health crisis.
“Thank God that He is God, and thanks to MC Oluomo and my colleagues who kept me alive today,” she said.
Ronke then gave an insight into just how expensive her treatment had become.
“Do you know what it means for someone to buy drugs worth 800,000 naira every month?” she asked.
Unexpected support from Sotayo
Amid the difficult period, Ronke also received financial support from actress Sotayo, despite their strained relationship.
She revealed that they had not spoken for about five or six years following a disagreement.
However, after Sotayo learnt about her illness, she sent Ronke N150,000.
Interestingly, Ronke admitted that the gesture did not immediately end their awkward relationship.
She said they still bypassed each other without exchanging greetings whenever they met at parties.

Ronke Oshodi Oke reveals why she lost weight
Legit.ng previously reported that the actress sparked reactions with a video where she credited her drastic weight loss to a weight loss brand.
In her interview with media personality Chude, the Yoruba star kicked against rumours that she was sick and displayed briefly to show how strong she was.
According to her, she went to the UK, and her doctor advised her to reduce her weight from 110kg to about 75kg.
