From HR consulting to banking excellence

The transition from human resources into one of Africa’s largest banks was not a small leap. Oradiegwu said the programme gave him a firm grounding in banking, finance, credit, and operations — areas that were largely new territory for him before he joined GMAP.

In his post, he cited words from UBA’s GMD/CEO Oliver Alawuba, delivered during the cohort’s induction months earlier:

“Dominance is not noise or ego. Dominance is consistent, measurable excellence — so reliable, so disciplined, so value-creating — that you become the reference point. In UBA, dominance is simply performance with character.”

Oradiegwu said that standard shaped his approach throughout the programme and was one he intended to carry into the next stage of his career.

UBA GMAP: Netizens celebrate him

The post resonated with professionals across his network, many of whom took to the comments to celebrate his feat.

Ferdinand Ibezim said:

“Big congratulations, Ugochukwu Oradiegwu, ACIPM, HRPL, IRPM, IIPSM. You have every reason to be proud of yourself. I wish good success in your career.”
