Schools question WAEC’s 2026 results as brilliant students receive shock low grades

Schools and education stakeholders have questioned the credibility of the 2026 WAEC results, alleging grading errors, CBT glitches and unexplained low scores despite students excelling in JAMB.

Sam Abdulazeez, Director of Impact House Model Schools, said the school’s WAEC results did not reflect the students’ academic performance and UTME scores

Education advocate Alex Onyia called on WAEC to release its grading methodology and explain how the 2026 WASSCE results were standardised.

WAEC defended the integrity of the 2026 WASSCE results, insisting that all candidates’ scripts underwent rigorous marking, moderation and quality assurance.
