The Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates as winners of the chairmanship and councillorship elections held across the state’s 11 local government areas and 11 local council development areas.
Announcing the results on Saturday at the Commission’s headquarters in Gombe, the GOSIEC Chairman, Abdullahi Talatse, confirmed that the ruling party won every seat.
“Having received, collated and verified the results submitted by our returning officers, and in accordance with the powers conferred on the Commission, I hereby declare the candidates of the All Progressives Congress duly elected as chairmen of the 11 local government councils of Gombe State,” Mr Talatse stated.
He described the electoral process as peaceful, praising voters, political parties, security agencies, election officials and other stakeholders for their cooperation throughout the exercise.
“The peaceful conduct of the election demonstrates the commitment of all stakeholders to the democratic process. We appreciate the maturity displayed by the electorate and the support provided by security agencies and election personnel,” he added.

The GOSIEC chairman stated that the successful completion of the polls reflected the Commission’s resolve to conduct elections that were transparent, credible and in line with the laws establishing the electoral body.
With this announcement, the APC has retained control of all 11 local government councils in Gombe State, reaffirming its dominance in local government administration following the 2026 council elections.
